DuPage County Votes to Permit Sale of Cannabis in Unincorporated Areas
Wheaton – The DuPage County Board voted on June 28 to take steps to allow the sale of cannabis in unincorporated areas of the County.
The County Board voted in October 2019 to prohibit the sale of recreational cannabis in unincorporated areas. The Board’s vote today directs the Development Committee and staff to create a zoning and licensure program which regulates, but permits, adult cannabis businesses in unincorporated DuPage County.
The permitting and licensing program will only impact businesses located in unincorporated areas in DuPage County.
