Mack Road Closure ~

Following Information from Forest Preserve’s Jon Melin:

As I am sure you have seen, the construction of the Grounds and Natural Resources Campus is well underway at Blackwell.  As part of the project, the contractor has been installing municipal water and sanitary sewer to serve the new campus.  Beginning next week (May 4th), they will be crossing Mack Road with the installation of water and sanitary, which will cause daily closures of Mack Road between Williams Road and just to east of the off-leash dog area entrance, see attached plan.   We are anticipating about a week for the daily closure of Mack Road to do the crossings and then one additional day that Mack will be closed approximately 3 weeks later to repave the utility crossings.  I apologize for the inconvenience with the daily road closures and hopefully weather will cooperate so we can get this wrapped up quickly.  Feel free to share this information with WestWin.
