A break-in occurred Halloween day at a home on a cul-de-sac off Mack Road. The intruders broke the lock on a back door while the owner was visiting a nearby relative. Many drawers were opened, but only a couple of articles taken. However, all of the owner’s banking and credit card records were spread out over the floor. Clearly, these were all photographed with the intent of identity theft.

The owner contacted the bank the moment it opened the next day to close out all banking and credit card accounts and initiate new ones, but it is unclear whether other consequences could yet occur.  A police report was filed.
