Although we weren’t able to prevent Pulte’s Trillium Farm from being built we are grateful to all the residents that made their voices heard via emails, letters and phone calls to the DuPage County Board, the West Chicago City Council and the DuPage County Forest Preserve in opposition of this development. We are encouraged by the solidarity and enthusiasm shown by so many of you attending the numerous Zoning Board of Appeals, Development Committee and County Board meetings. It was good to meet new neighbors. THANK YOU!
It is our understanding that Trillium Farm will be constructed in 3 phases with the first phase building 19 homes through 2021. The remaining 65 homes are to be built during phase 2 and 3 extending through at least 2023. As you may have already noticed new traffic signage has been placed near the stop sign at Purnell Rd and Gary’s Mill Rd restricting turns during peak morning and evening hours. 2 flashing speed limit warning signs have been placed along eastbound and westbound Purnell Rd. A flashing “Be Prepared to Stop” sign will be placed eastbound before the crest of the Purnell Rd hill warning when traffic is backed up from the stop sign at Purnell & Winfield Rds. No Trillium Farm construction traffic is allowed eastbound on Purnell Rd past the development. The signs and restrictions are part of the variance granted to Pulte/Trillium Farm by the DuPage County Board.
West-Win continues to monitor municipality, county and forest preserve meetings, news articles and alerts to provide residents with timely updates regarding our neighborhoods. Your involvement is key in keeping our community informed and a safe place to live. West-Win welcomes your questions and concerns.
