DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin will discuss local crime trends, restorative justice programs and changes to the SAFE-T Act during the next Civic Awareness Series program at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. The speaker series is sponsored by Cantigny and the League of Women’s Voters. Berlin will provide data on county-wide crime trends and a look at the county’s restorative justice programs. Berlin also served on a SAFE-T Act working group. The sweeping criminal justice reform package eliminated cash bail on September 18. Berlin’s presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 16, in the Le Jardin room at Cantigny Park at 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton.
