Winfield Plan Commission Chairman, Karen Skillman, will provide a brief history of the Roosevelt Road Comprehensive Plan activities and will then provide an update on activities since the comprehensive plan changes in 2014 where commercial areas were added. Topics include:
– Village code updates requiring commercial development to be: minimum 7 acres, via PUD, including green space and buffering,
– Rezoning Roosevelt Road for commercial development,
– Summary of recent report by consultant hired to assemble properties for development.
Karen and her husband Jed have lived in Winfield since 2003. She has been involved with Winfield United since 2004 and every Winfield election since then. Karen was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals in 2007 then to the Plan Commission in 2009. She has been chairman of the Plan Commission since late 2014.
