There’s been lots of “buzz” regarding the new law on cell phone use while driving. Below are some of the questions being tossed around. You may have some more to add. Come on out of Tuesday evening, April 22, and in 20 minutes get your questions answered.
Questions on new law regarding cell phone use while driving:
a. Is the new law in effect now?
b. I have a hands-free cell phone and can even give it voice commands to dial a certain person; but I have to push a button to get it started. Will that get me in trouble with the law?
c. If a person forgets and uses a hand-held cell phone while driving, can they be pulled over for that one reason only? If so, what is likely to happen next?
d. What are the fines?
e. Is there a problem if a passenger uses a hand-held cell phone? What if a passenger holds the cell phone to the driver’s ear?
